How do I calculate the value of my gold in the UAE?

Multiply your gold's weight in grams by today's per-gram rate for its karat. For old jewellery being sold for scrap, the shop will weigh, test purity, and pay you the metal value (often minus a small refining fee) — making charges are not refunded.
