What moves oil prices?

Oil prices respond to OPEC+ production decisions, commercial inventory levels, expectations for global demand and economic growth, geopolitical tension in producing regions and the strength of the US dollar. These factors usually hit futures prices before they reach local fuel prices.

How to read the table

Each price is the latest quote for the front-month futures contract, and the daily change is measured against the previous session's settlement. Brent and WTI are in USD per barrel (about 159 litres), US diesel and gasoline futures in USD per gallon (3.785 L), and natural gas in USD per MMBtu.

Are pump prices linked to these prices?

Indirectly. Many Gulf countries set local fuel prices monthly or periodically through their own mechanisms. You can find the latest local fuel prices on each country's gold price page.
